    Lumiere festival

    I was recently asked to draw up an illustration for print material for Ottawa's Lumiere Festival, a lantern-lit evening that celebrates local artists and performers. This was a lot of fun to work on, as I love creating that mood associated with magic and faerie. We went with a dragon to tie into this year's theme of rebirth. This dragon will be on their posters, postcards, and program covers for this year's event, and the website banner was designed to tie in to the poster design. I really liked working within the constrained space of the banner; it was a new and interesting challenge for me. More information on the Lumiere festival can be found at www.lumiereottawa.com.
